About

Priory Cottage is an attractive listed building in the conservation area and dates back to the 16 century. It is in a lovely location on a country lane, the Bull Ring, very close to the ruins of Wenlock Priory. A short walk (less than 100 yards) leads to open country in one direction and to the shops, inns and restaurants in the other. The self-contained accommodation has been created from a wing of the house which included stables and hay loft. It faces onto a walled garden; beyond that are old cottages and the church.

The comfortable accommodation sleeps 3/4, and retains many original features, with beamed ceilings, a wood- burning stove in the sitting room, and feature kitchen range in the dining room. The sitting room is comfortably furnished with high quality sofa and chairs in keeping with the style of the property. It has a log-burning multifuel stove, 32 inch HD TV, DVD player and free wifi. and many shelves of books. Some period furniture and watercolours are in keeping with the age and style of the property. Upstairs there is a large bedroom with one double and one single bed, and a second bedroom with a single bed. The refurbished bathroom has immersion heater, bath, w.c. and shower over the bath and heated towel rail.

The kitchen and dining are area is equipped with electric cooker, fridge and microwave. Should you prefer not to cook, there are several restaurants, cafes and pubs within short walking distance. A car is not essential since there are buses to Bridgnorth and Shrewsbury. Guests are free to explore and enjoy the walled garden. There are a variety of places to sit and relax and garden furniture is provided. There is off-street parking for two cars. Maps and guide books are provided, and it is our hope that you will have a relaxing and refreshing stay. Many of our visitors return year after year and short breaks are available outside the main season.
